Story first, then the gift. Donation appeals that ask once on WhatsApp.

Send a short video appeal to opted-in supporters, let them choose a gift in a WhatsApp Flow, and take the payment on your own secure checkout. The moment they give, the asking stops.

Step through the play as the supporter.

Sam, a supporter, hears about your winter appeal from your list, an ad or a QR code. Each step shows what he sees on WhatsApp and what lands on his HubSpot record, from the appeal to the checkout link. Your answers in the Flow decide which way the branch goes.

    The donation appeal blueprint.

Appeal, a short video, a gift Flow, then one branch: givers get a secure checkout link and a thank-you, and a no is respected. You build it in a HubSpot workflow, from Flowella’s WhatsApp triggers and actions.

    Why WhatsApp appeals work.

Supporter emails pile up unread. A short video on WhatsApp gets watched, and the gift takes a few taps and a secure checkout, in the same few minutes.

    • Why speed matters

Giving is an impulse that fades. A video where supporters already read, then a gift chosen in taps, turns the moment into a donation before the feeling passes.

    • How to enhance it

Offer a monthly gift after a one-off, send major donors a personal message instead of the appeal, use a match deadline in the last video, and segment by past giving.

    • Gotchas

Exit on the first gift, take Gift Aid in one place only, submit appeals as marketing templates, honour STOP replies, and never ask for card details in the chat.

The point: the video makes the case; WhatsApp makes giving a few taps.
