Choose Flowella if…

You want WhatsApp to feed structured data into HubSpot.

You already use HubSpot Forms and Workflows. You want WhatsApp to capture clean, structured answers that trigger the workflows you've already built.

  • You live inside HubSpot — that's your system of record.
  • You need form submissions, not free-text chat.
  • You want one pass-through bill, no per-seat fees.
  • You're UK/EU and care about data residency.
Choose Wati if…

You need a full WhatsApp engagement platform alongside HubSpot.

You have a team that lives in a shared WhatsApp inbox, runs broadcast campaigns, builds rule-based chatbots, and handles Instagram and Messenger too.

  • You need a multi-agent team inbox with assignment.
  • You run high-volume broadcasts and click-to-WhatsApp ads.
  • You want multi-channel (WhatsApp + IG + Messenger).
  • HubSpot is one of several CRMs you sync with.
Choose HubSpot native if…

You only need basic WhatsApp inside the HubSpot Conversations Inbox.

You want shared inbox replies and outbound templates from your HubSpot record, and don't need WhatsApp Flows, branching automation, or coexistence with the Business App.4

  • You're fine sending only template messages from workflows.
  • ≤1,000 templates/month is enough.
  • You don't need Coexistence with the Business App.
  • You don't need to branch on a structured customer reply.

Questions teams ask.

Four deep dives.

Q

Can I trigger a HubSpot workflow when a customer completes a WhatsApp form?

Flowella

Yes, natively. The submission lands in HubSpot as a form submission event, so you can use any Form submission enrolment trigger and the standard Delay until event occurs action — same primitives your team already uses.

Wati

Workaround. Submissions arrive as Wati custom attributes that sync to HubSpot contact properties. You enrol on a property change instead — works, but breaks the form-submission patterns you have built up.

Q

Will WhatsApp messages live inside the HubSpot Conversations Inbox?

Flowella

No — and that's the point. Flowella isn't an inbox. If you need a shared WhatsApp inbox, connect HubSpot's native Conversations channel for it. Flowella handles the structured-form side and stays out of the inbox lane.

Wati

No. Wati logs activity-timeline summaries and tasks into HubSpot, but the live multi-agent inbox is at live.wati.io. Your team learns a second product alongside HubSpot.

Q

Do I have to give up my WhatsApp Business App to use this?

Flowella

No. Both products support Meta WhatsApp Coexistence (live since May 2025) via Embedded Signup. Keep the Business App for 1:1 chats, route API messaging via Flowella on the same number.3

Wati

No (since May 2025). Same Coexistence support — feature parity. Caveats apply: Coexistence is geo-restricted by Meta and disables some Business App features (disappearing messages, view-once media) in 1:1 chats.

Q

What does this look like for a 7-agent HubSpot team in practice?

Flowella

Flowella Pro: $159/mo flat. No per-user fees. Meta delivery passed through your own Meta account at Meta's published rates. Predictable.

Wati

Wati Pro $119/mo + $48/mo for two extra users (over the included 5) = $167/mo base. Add ~20% markup on Meta delivery and add-ons (Green Tick $50/country, Shopify $4.99/mo).6

FAQ

FAQ.

Straight answers.

Is this an honest comparison or a hatchet job?

Honest. Wati is a competent product with 16,000+ customers, $35M+ raised, and 4.6/5 on G2. We point you at Wati for the cases where it's a better fit (team inbox, multi-channel, broadcast volume). The places where Flowella wins — HubSpot Form → WhatsApp Flow conversion, native form-submission write-back, no markup on Meta delivery — are sourced and verifiable.

Can Wati turn a HubSpot Form into a WhatsApp Flow with one click?

No. Wati's own help-centre article describes the workflow as: open Wati's drag-and-drop builder, choose between two predefined templates (Lead Generation or Feedback Form) or build from scratch, customise and publish. Submissions arrive in HubSpot as contact-property updates, not as native HubSpot form submissions. There is no import HubSpot form → generate WhatsApp Flow command in Wati.5

Does Wati replace HubSpot's Conversations Inbox?

No — and Flowella doesn't either. Wati's HubSpot integration mirrors data into HubSpot (timeline activities, AI summaries, contact properties, tasks) but the live messaging UI sits in Wati's own Team Inbox at live.wati.io. HubSpot's documentation also notes that a phone number can only be connected to one WhatsApp integration at a time — so you pick one inbox per number.

Do I have to drop the WhatsApp Business App to use this?

No. As of May 2025, Meta launched WhatsApp Coexistence and both products support it through Embedded Signup. You keep the Business App for 1:1 chats while routing API messaging through the platform on the same number. Caveats: Coexistence is geo-restricted by Meta (currently unavailable in some countries) and disables some Business App features in 1:1 chats (disappearing messages, view-once media, live location).3

What's the real difference in monthly bills?

For a 7-agent HubSpot team: Flowella Pro is $159/mo flat; Wati Pro is $119/mo + $48 for the two extra agents = $167 base. Add Meta delivery on top — Flowella passes Meta rates straight through to your account; multiple independent BSP comparisons report Wati applies a ~20% markup on per-template-message rates.6

What about data residency for UK / EU buyers?

Flowella's parent is Discover Digital, a HubSpot Partner based in Reading, UK. Wati's parent is Clare.AI Limited, headquartered in Hong Kong, with significant team in India. For UK and EU data subjects this is a third-country transfer and should be reviewed under your standard DPA process.

What is Wati actually best at?

Three things, genuinely: a mature multi-agent team inbox with assignment, internal notes and mobile apps; broadcast and click-to-WhatsApp ad tooling at high volume; and multi-channel reach (Instagram, Messenger, SMS) including the new Astra AI agents product launched in 2025. If those are core to your job, Wati is the right tool — and Flowella isn't competing for that work.

Can I use Flowella alongside Wati?

In principle yes — but you'd need them on different WhatsApp numbers, because Meta only lets one BSP/integration own a number at a time. Most teams pick one. If Flowella's HubSpot Form → WhatsApp Flow loop is the primary use case, that's usually enough on its own.
